Klondike Turn 1 gives you access to one new stock card at a time. The aim is to uncover the table and move all four suits to the foundations. This guide follows the exact rules used on CasualNook.

Move all 52 cards to the four foundations, building each suit from Ace to King.
- Build columns downward in alternating red and black. A correctly ordered face-up sequence can move together.
- Only a King, or a sequence beginning with a King, can fill an empty column.
- Build each foundation from Ace to King in one suit. You may move its top card back to a column.
- Draw one card from the stock. When it runs out, recycle the waste. Redeals are unlimited.
A rule in action
Build down on the table, up on the foundations
On the table, place a red 8 on a black 9, then a black 7 on that red 8. A complete descending, alternating-color sequence can move together. Foundations work differently: start with an Ace and add cards of the same suit in ascending order. Only a King or a sequence headed by a King can fill an empty column.
Use the stock without losing track of the table
Click the stock to turn one card onto the waste. Only its top card is available. When the stock runs out, turn the waste over and go through it again; CasualNook allows unlimited passes. Before drawing, look for a move that uncovers a face-down card. It can open a route that was previously hidden.
Keep space for the cards you need
An empty column is useful when you can fill it with a King and its sequence. Clearing a column without a reachable King may not help immediately. You may move the top foundation card back to the table if it helps arrange a sequence. Undo lets you compare choices; Hint suggests an available move, not a guaranteed winning plan.
Common questions
Is every Solitaire deal winnable?
No. CasualNook deals random Klondike hands and does not guarantee a solution. The Solvable? check evaluates the current position; an inconclusive result is not proof that it cannot be won.
How is Turn 1 different from Turn 3?
Turn 1 exposes one new stock card per draw. Turn 3 exposes up to three, but only the top waste card can be played. The table and foundation rules are the same.
Controls, saves and offline play
Tap a card for an available move or drag it to choose a destination. Tab moves between cards. Space selects a card; Enter on a destination moves it. D draws from the stock in variants that have one.
H gives a hint, Ctrl/⌘ Z undoes a move, and F toggles fullscreen where supported. Each variant saves separately on this device. Switching language keeps the same save. Up to 100 undo steps are retained.
First open the game online. Once the menu says “Available offline”, you can reopen it without a connection while your browser retains its data. Clearing site data also removes saved games.
